Description
There are four people of librarians: Eve Baird, who is chosen by The Library to be a new Guardian, as well as Ezekiel, Cassandra and Jacob. They set off on adventures in an effort to save mysterious, ancient artifacts. Things go from bad to worse, however, when the Librarians figure out the Brotherhood’s ominous endgame – to introduce magic back into the world byre-inserting Excalibur into its Stone sheath, which is hidden in a secret chamber underneath the heavily guarded Buckingham Palace. Action-packed with more than a little history and mythology thrown in, The Librarians is one of those rare and wonderful shows that isn't out to change the television landscape, just make it a little more fun. Which it most certainly does

TNT's new adventure series The Librarians is unapologetically zany and tends to border on nonsensical, but it comes from a place of lighthearted fun that anyone can enjoy -- so long as they leave their cynicism at the door!

Although the lack of violence in The Librarians is a virtue, most of the people involved in it could probably benefit from the motivation one gets from a swift kick in the pants.

With a tone that swings between action and slapstick comedy, The Librarians isn't likely to show up on any end of 2014 Top 10 lists. But its high energy and good cheer are a comfortable fit for the holiday season.

Goofy fantasy/adventure is perfect for whole-family viewing.

The Librarians is a charming, engaging addition to the roster of new cable series.

The Librarians are on a globe-hopping quest to find King Arthur's crown because blah blah blah, who actually cares? You're watching this for the sugar rush.

Despite the accordant level of menace, The Librarians never gets too dark. If anything, it sometimes gets too goofy. Still, it's worth checking out.

The magic is shallow and literary allusions are invented as often as not. But let go and you may find yourself enjoying the rollicking adventure and characters' camaraderie.

Syfy manages to pull off an entire Narnia-like world without bringing you out of it, due in part to some great editing and an appropriate amount of pop culture lampshading.
