Transformers - Season 1
Things turn out completely after the Great Cybertronian War, where other forces seem to land on Earth, including the Autobots and the Decepticons who return to earth. Millions of years later, geological activity seems to be doing a dangerous job: reviving warring factions. Now, after a long period of time, Decepticons want to strip the Earth of its enormous resources of energy in an appalling way, and the Autobots seek to protect the earth from what will happen.

Even though the Transformers franchise has now moved way beyond the products, the series holds up well. Yes, the animation is very clunky by today's standards, but the transformation effect never gets old.

Sure, it's all based on plastic toys that break easy and covet high sticker prices on convention room floors, but it is a mainstay worth exploring.

The only bad thing about the 16 episodes is that they end all too quickly. Leaving me wanting, nay NEEDING more.
